National Security Education Program (NSEP)
Scholarship for year, semester, or summer programs to study in Latin America.

L&S University League Scholarships
Help for research expenses of undergraduates writing senior theses. Funds can be used for supplies, computer time, related travel, copying expenses, etc.
Who can apply: students NOT in the Honors Program registered for Senior Thesis (691-692)

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
An annual, renewable national scholarship of up to $30,000 for students who have significant financial need.
Who can apply: Academically excellent students who have junior standing by credits. (Applicants do NOT need to be enrolled in an Honors program).

Wisconsin Idea Undergraduate Fellowships
Support for collaborative research-service projects involving community organizations under the supervision of UW-Madison or instructional academic staff member. Fellowship recipients earn 3 academic credits, and receive a stipend (up to $3,000 for individuals and $5,000 for groups).
Who can apply: Students who have at least sophomore standing at the time of application.

The Iwanter Prize
$2,000 prize awarded to a graduating senior who, through work on a senior thesis, course work and general academic distinction, has demonstrated outstanding humanities scholarship of an interdisciplinary nature.

Antonio G. Solalinde Scholarship
Spanish and Portuguese Undergraduate Research Fellowships

Through the efforts of Psi chapter of Sigma Delta Pi (national Spanish honor society), a scholarship in memory of Professor Solalinde was established. Funded by the Solalinde trust fund, the Spanish & Portuguese Research Fellowships were created to provide undergraduate students who are majors in either Spanish or Portuguese with the opportunity to get involved in a meaningful way in original research and to foster collaborative research between undergraduate students and faculty members. H. C. Berkowitz Scholarship
From a fund established in honor of Professor H. C. Berkowitz, one or more awards of a varying amount is awarded annually to undergraduate students majoring in either Spanish or Portuguese, based upon academic achievement, general merit and financial need.

Elizabeth Brown Romance Languages
One or more awards ranging from $200 to $400. To graduate and undergraduate students majoring in either Spanish or Portuguese. Shared each year with the French and Italian Department.
