
Sandro Sessarego is an Assistant Professor of Spanish. He obtained his PhD from The Ohio State University in 2010. Prof. Sessarego teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on Hispanic Linguistics. He works primarily in the fields of contact linguistics, sociolinguistics and syntax. His current research focuses on Afro-Hispanic contact varieties and on the syntax and semantics of the Determiner Phrase (DP). He is the author ofIntroducción al idioma afroboliviano: Una conversación con el awicho Manuel Barra (Plural Editores, 2011), Chota Valley Spanish (Iberoamericana/Vervuert, forthcoming), The Afro-Bolivian Spanish Determiner Phrase (The Ohio State University Press, forthcoming). He is the co-editor, with Melvin González-Rivera, of Current Formal Aspects of Spanish Syntax and Semantics (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2012).
