Residencia de Estudiantes

The Residencia de Estudiantes, a Spanish immersion floor located in the Lakeshore dorms, was inaugurated in Fall 2003. The Residencia de Estudiantes serves a wide range of students interested in perfecting their command of spoken Spanish. The Residencia creates an environment in which students speak Spanish in everyday situations, such as at dinner 3 times a week. It also offers weekly Spanish-language programs: such as, films, lectures, guided visits, cooking activities, dancing lessons, meals with guests from the Spanish Program, to name just a few. The Residencia de Estudiantes is part of the International Learning Community (ILC), an association of 80 American and international students who share their cultures in organized social events to enrich cross-cultural understanding.
