Spanish 226 Coordinator
Professor Harrington specializes in foreign language pedagogy and second language acquisition (SLA). She is the Coordinator for Spanish 226, intermediate grammar and composition, and she teaches undergraduate language and linguistics courses.
Professor Harrington has conducted research in the areas of instructional technologies in language education, SLA and teacher education and training and she is activity involved in pedagogical materials development. She created video activities for the following Spanish textbooks: Tú dirás (3rd and 4th editions), Temas: Spanish for the Global Community (2nd edition), ¡Dímelo tú!: A Complete Course (5th edition), developed the online web exploration activities and autopruebas for De paseo: Curso intermedio de español (3rd edition) and was a contributing author for the 4th edition of ¡Tú dirás!. Professor Harrington is co-authoring (with Tammy Jandrey Hertel) an advanced level Spanish conversation and composition textbook, forthcoming with Heinle Cengage Learning.
