Spring 2010 Waiting Lists

Waiting lists for a particular course will not be turned on until all sections of that course have closed!

IMPORTANT!! Please Read!
Waiting lists for are compiled by time of day (not section).
The department will activate waiting lists after all sections in any particular course have closed.
Information will be gathered from waiting list submissions, such as student ID#, email address, and Winter Break / beginning of Spring 2010 Semester phone number.  Students will be contacted via email if and only if an opening occurs.
Waiting list students offered space in a course still need to web-enroll in that course. Enrollment instructions will be included in the email notifying students of the available space.
The department will offer space to students on the waiting lists through Thursday, January 28, 2010.
A student can only be on one (1) waiting list per course. Multiple submissions for a particular course will result in ALL submissions being discarded!
Students cannot be on waiting lists for subsequent lower-level language practice courses (ie: Spanish 203 and 204 or Spanish 226 and 311, etc.) at the same time. Please note that Spanish 223 and Spanish 224 are not language practice courses and therefore do not fall under this restriction.
Please keep in mind that the more sections offered during a particular timeslot equals a better likelihood that space will open.
If you need to update your existing waiting list submission to include additional (or different) sections of the same course, please email to do so.

Incoming Students: You should not place yourself on a waiting list until after you are eligible to enroll. If your name comes up prior to your enrollment date, the space you are offered cannot be held for you!

Please note that no response will be given to requests for waiting list position or inquiries as to which waiting list students are on. Confirmation emails are sent to students' wisc.edu accounts when successful waiting list submissions are made. Please be sure to keep this confirmation email for future reference.

Being on a waiting list for a course in no way guarantees students a seat in the selected class!

IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE:
Based on staff schedule and the State-mandated furlough day on November 27, you may notice a longer than normal response time. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

REMINDER: If you need to update your existing waiting list submission to include additional (or different) sections of the same course, please email to do so.

You do not need a username or password to submit a waiting list request. The username / password boxes below are for members of LSS and the Department of Spanish & Portuguese to sign in to update this website. If you choose a timeslot for a particular course and you get the result "no classes available", it means there is not an active waiting list for the timeslot you chose for that particular course.
