William Risley
Professor, Ph. D., University of Wisconsin-Madison
Professor Professor Risley teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in
19th- and 20th-century Spanish literature (Romanticism, Realism, Generation
of 1898, post-Civil War novel). He is co-editor of Waiting for Pegasus:
Studies of the Presence of Symbolism and Decadence in Hispanic Letters
(1979), author of articles on Galdós, Valle-Inclán and the
contemporary Spanish novel, editorial board member of Essays in Literature,
and reviewer for World Literature Today and España Contemporánea.
