Professor Kaaikiola Strohbusch specializes in late medieval poetics and
cancionero poetry. Additional areas of interest include the Libro de Alexandre,
Golden Age theatre and second-language acquisition. She is preparing an
electronic facsimile-and-transcription of a Castilian-language manuscript
of Brunetto Latini's Libro del tesoro, not yet available outside the Real
Academia Sevillana de Buenas Letras. She has taught intermediate and advanced
language practice, introduction to Hispanic Literature, the survey of Early
Hispanic Literature, and the topics course Rhetoric and Discourse, and she
also coordinates the teaching of second-semester Spanish in the department
language program.
